Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Essentials is an action-adventure video game in the Splinter Cell series that focuses heavily on stealth. Sam Fisher, a former NSA agent turned fugitive, sneaks into a Washington, D.C. cemetery in January 2009 to visit his daughter, Sarah, who was just murdered in a car accident. Fisher is apprehended at the gravesite, detained, and interrogated at the National Security Agency’s headquarters at Fort Meade, Maryland.
