Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is a Rockstar Games action-adventure game made in collaboration with Rockstar Leeds and Rockstar North. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is the tenth installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. The game is a prequel to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (set in 1986) and is set in the fictional Vice City (based on Miami) in 1984. It follows the activities of ex-soldier Victor “Vic” Vance, a minor character from that game. Vic and his brother Lance want to construct a criminal empire together, but they run across rival gangs, drug lords, and other enemies along the way.
The main gameplay combines a third-person shooter to provide the player with a wide landscape to explore. In this game, the player can walk, run, swim, jump when on foot, as well as use weapons and basic hand-to-hand fighting. Automobiles, boats, aircraft, helicopters, jet-skis, and motorbikes are among the vehicles available to the player.
